Back to Blogging...

It has been almost a year since I have used my blog. I have just run out of time a lot to even pop on here and then it was just forgotten BUT I do feel it is important to keep it going so each month I have set aside some time to do a blog for you all. Most people ask me questions on how to do different looks and this would be the best way to show you all! I will be doing a smoky eye look this weekend for you all! So pop back next week to see step by step process on how to do a great smoky eye!!!

Have a great week!

love your brushes

Do you love your brushes like I love mine??? Well... You should!!!

To love and care for them follow the below instructions and it will help them last for ever and ever and keep your application looking flawless!!!

You will need to buy the below:
1. Baby shampoo
2. Quality conditioner
3. Large hand towel - I actually use a bath mat as it holds more
4. Brush Cleaner - You can get this for Napoleon Perdis and MAC

After each application you should clean you brushes with the brush cleaner - this disinfects them and makes them clean for the next use.

Each week you should wash them with baby shampoo and the big fluffy brushes you should condition as well. Wash each one is warm water and then lay them on the hand towel/ bath mat to dry. In summer they dry in about 2 hours however in winter I leave them out over night.

Because I have a set of brushes I clean mine with shampoo and conditioner after every job so they are clean for the next job I have! So you have no complaining about cleaning them only once a week! I can do it 7 times in one week!!!

Have al lovely weekend!

Should you throw some of your make up in the BIN!!!

Hi Everyone...

Hope this post finds you well... I have had a little of the flu the last week so I have had little motivation to come on here but fear not... I have returned....

Most of you have no idea that make up has a use by date. Using off make up can harm your skin. Use the tips below to help you with your make up products in your bag!

  • Almost all powders are anhydrous (which means they don't contain any water), which is great so that means they can last for a couple of years.
  • Cleansers and moisturizers - Be sure to throw them in the bin after six months.
  • Multiuse products such as foundation sticks, concealers, lip glosses and creams can spread germs from lips to eyes and cheeks. Wipe the surface before switching areas, and also throw to the bin after after six months.
  • Pencils can last several years  - however you must sharpen before each use.
  • Mascara should be thrown to the bin after three months without fail.
  • Foundations can last up to a year if you keep your fingers away from the bottle. You can purchase pumps for most foundations now so that will help keep your foundation free of germs.

Handy Hint - Be sure to always store your make up in a cool, dry place preferably not in the bathroom to extend their shelf life!!!

Have a lovely week.

Lippy Lip Lip

Loving lipstick more and more each day! Gloss is great - don't get me wrong! But lipstick is taking over my world! I love the new M.A.C Lady Gaga Lippy - I bought is mostly because I love Lady Gaga but the colour is great! Here it is below!!!!
sp.tmpl.jpg
I'm thinking most of you don't use lippy as it wears off quite quickly - NOT ANY MORE! M.A.C lip primer is amazing!

sp.tmpl.jpg
If you apply the primer to your lip first then apply your lip liner over the whole lip then apply the lippy you will be on the road to a great success!

Try it and please let me know how you go!

How are your BROWS?

Are your brows overgrown or look funny because of a bad wax or pluck? Fear not! The Brow Bar at Paddington - Brisbane is amazing! They do a complete overhaul of your brows and shape them to suit you and your face! However you may be thinking how can I tame these babies after 2 or 3 weeks are gone??? The answer is:

MAC BROW FINISHER
A slimline wax-style grooming tool specially formulated to shape and hold the brows in place while providing them with a sheer, slick, polished and conditioned-looking finish. Smooth, non-sticky, easy to use. Comes in a slim mechanical applicator. Goes on smoothly, precisely via its slant tip. Available in five natural brow tones, plus a clear.

It will hold those fly away hairs and have them sitting perfectly until your next visit! I would however recommend wearing the brow finisher each time you do your 'face' so you have a polished finished look!
